Tuition & Financial Aid

We believe a Waldorf education should be accessible to those families who value the ideals, curriculum and learning environment at Mountain Laurel Waldorf School. Families with genuine need are encouraged to apply for tuition assistance. Please note that while our aim is to assure the possibility of Waldorf education for all our students, our ability to do so is limited, and parents must be prepared to shoulder the majority of their tuition obligation. Aid is only available for kindergarten and grade students.

If you are interested in applying for tuition assistance, please go to www.solutionsbysss.com and submit a copy of your tax returns. The MLWS Tuition Assistance Committee will use the assessment information provided by SSS to determine tuition assistance awards.

Discounts

Multiple Child Discount
Families with two children enrolled in the school receive a 5% discount on their total tuition. Families with three
or more children enrolled in the school receive a 10% discount on their total tuition. This discount does not
apply to families who receive tuition assistance.

Pre-Pay Discount
Current families that make full payment by Monday, March 2, 2026, receive a 5% tuition discount.

Early Childhood

Sprouts – 3 Mornings per Week (Tuesday through Thursday) – $9,070
Nursery Only – 3 Mornings per Week (Monday through Wednesday) – $9,975
Nursery Only – 3 Full Days (Monday through Wednesday) – $14,280
4 Days – Mornings Only (Monday through Thursday) – $11,815
4 Full Days (Monday through Thursday) – $17,650
5 Days – Mornings Only – $13,650
5 Full Days $19,790

Note: Nursery/Kindergarten afternoons. Afternoon programs are set up and staffed to accommodate anticipated enrollment. Once the school year begins, additional children will be admitted into these programs as openings occur.

All fees and deposits are nonrefundable.

Application (new families only): $100 per child
Enrollment (yearly fee): $100 per child
Tuition Aid Application: $60 per family paid directly to SSS – go to www.solutionsbysss.com

Deposit: $1,000 per family (will be applied to tuition)
Early Registration: $350 discount for any family who registers before March 2,, 2026
Late Registration: $350 per family (applies only to returning families that do not submit a signed contract by March 2, 2026).
Snack Fee (N/K only): $225 per child
Supply Fee: $300 per child
3rd Grade Farm Trip:$500 per student deposit(total cost of trip TBD)
Activity Convenience Fee (Grades): $200 per child (replaces field trip fees throughout the year)

Additional Charges

  • Rental or purchase of musical instruments
  • Weekly private music lessons (required grades 3 through 8)
  • Language tutoring for new students (may be required grades 4 through 8)
