Open House

Open houses illuminate the Waldorf philosophy, our academic offerings and our dedication to creating a lifelong love of learning. During the open house you will have an opportunity to visit the classrooms and view students’ work samples, attend informational workshops and watch a puppet show. Children are welcome. We are looking forward to meeting you and your family!

Tea & Play

Designed especially for prospective early childhood families, this warm and welcoming gathering gives children the opportunity to play, explore, and experience our classroom environment while parents learn more about our early childhood program and Waldorf approach.

Tour & Tea Tuesdays

Join us for a personal tour of our classrooms and beautiful campus while school is in session. Meet with our Admissions Director, see Waldorf education in action, and have the opportunity to ask questions about our programs and admissions process.

Tea & Play: A Waldorf Early Childhood Admissions Gathering

Join us for a gentle morning of tea, play, and conversation for children ages 2.9 (who are fully potty trained) to 5 years old and their parents or caregivers.

Children are invited to experience the warmth and wonder of a Waldorf early childhood classroom through imaginative play, seasonal activities, stories, songs, and simple hands-on work. Parents and caregivers are warmly invited to join their children in the classroom, observe the morning’s activities, and experience firsthand the rhythm and atmosphere of a Waldorf early childhood program.

There will also be an opportunity to meet our teachers, learn more about Waldorf education, and discover how our early childhood programs nurture the whole child through rhythm, relationship, movement, creativity, and connection to the natural world.

Come enjoy a cup of tea, share in the joy of childhood, and experience the beauty of learning through play.

The best way to understand Waldorf education is to experience it firsthand.

We invite prospective parents to schedule a private tour of our classrooms and campus while school is in session. Step into the rhythm and “aliveness” of the Waldorf classroom and see how our curriculum meets children’s natural curiosity, creativity, imagination, and need for purposeful activity.

As you tour the school, you’ll have the opportunity to observe inspired learning in action — and discover how our approach supports not only academic growth, but also the development of confidence, character, empathy, independence, and leadership.

Following the tour, parents will have an opportunity to meet with the Admissions Director over tea, ask questions, and learn more about their child’s potential journey at Mountain Laurel.
