Son of long-time Mountain Laurel Waldorf School Kindergarten Teacher Wendy Weinrich and graduate of Theo Lundin’s Class of 2005, Jasper Weinburd received his PhD in Mathematics from the University of Minnesota in May 2019. His PhD titled: “Planar patterns deformed by spatial inhomogeneity” is the result of his research on pattern formation and dynamical systems. In the Fall of 2019, Jasper is headed to Harvey Mudd College, where he will continue his research on models of swarming and collective behavior in locusts. He is excited to mentor and teach in an undergraduate-focused environment at Harvey Mudd College in Claremont, California.
All of us at Mountain Laurel School are very proud of his accomplishments and congratulate him on his distinction.
