The Mountain Laurel Waldorf School High School Ensemble (comprised of high school students and current dedicated 7th and 8th grade students) under the direction of Mark Bernstein, was invited to perform at the fabled Lincoln Center Plaza in New York City as part of the Young Music Makers Program. They took an early morning bus, not sure the weather would cooperate (forecast of 50 degrees F and humid = rather raw) for an outdoor performance, but by noon time the chairs and music stands were set in front of the fountain. Our students awed the New York lunch break crowd! They later enjoyed a one and a half hour guided tour of the Lincoln Center.

Thank you Mark Bernstein for inspiring our young musicians, believing in them and making an opportunity like this happen. Many thanks also to the parents who came to help and support this unforgettable endeavor.
