“The healthy social life is found only when, in the mirror of each soul, the whole community finds its reflection, and when, in the whole community, the virtue of each one is living.” — Rudolf Steiner

“In the mirror of each human soul” can refer to the idea that our souls reflect our own qualities as well as those of others around us, a concept also found in Buddhist, Islamic, and other spiritual traditions. This metaphorical mirror can help us to meet and nourish our soul-spiritual selves more deeply.

Join us once a month to “polish our mirrors” together and co-create a supportive adult community through engaging in mindfulness practices similar to those from the Plum Village tradition of Vietnamese monk and peace activist Tich Nhat Hanh. We will gather once a month on Wednesdays from 7:00 – 7:45 pm in the community room for:

  • singing
  • walking silent meditation
  • seated silent meditation
  • reading from inspirational texts from Anthroposophy
  • “dharma talk” style sharing in order to practice deep listening
  • closing mirror activity

Please bring a blanket, yoga mat, pillow, or other items to create a comfortable mediation experience for yourself.

We will meet 7-7:45 pm in Jaeckel Hall (Community Room) on the following Wednesdays:

October 15
November 12
December 10
January 14
March 18
April 15
