Supporting Our 3rd Graders’ Journey to the Farm
Each year, our 3rd graders set out on a very special adventure — the Farm Trip to Hawthorne Valley Farm in Ghent, NY. For four days, the children live and work on the farm, tending animals, cooking meals, and exploring the meadows, woods, and waters that surround them. This trip is more than just an excursion. It is a milestone in the Waldorf journey, where children experience the joy of meaningful work and the deep rhythms of life connected to the land.
To help make this cherished trip possible, the 3rd grade families host the Annual Clothing Sale, a community event that benefits both our students and local families.
Join us on Sunday, November 16, 2026, from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Mountain Laurel Waldorf School for this annual tradition.
You’ll find gently used children’s and adult clothing, including high-quality outdoor gear perfect for our all-weather play philosophy. Many families in our area look forward to this sale each year. It’s a wonderful way to outfit your family affordably while supporting a meaningful cause.
