Our experienced and enthusiastic instructors will bring outdoor wonder and play through activities such as crafts, building projects using natural materials, song, games, storytelling and water play. Rhythm of the Day
Our MLWS Summer instructors create a fun and personalized program with Waldorf-inspired stories, games, music and crafts. The program may differ from week to week as they are personalized to the children attending. Each morning, children will be greeted by their instructor in their designated group space. As the children arrive, they play and enjoy fun arts and crafts. The children then all come together for Circle Time where they play fun learning games, learn new songs, and listen to inspiring stories. Throughout the day, the children enjoy outdoor summer fun activities including games, crafts, music, and outdoor adventures. The youngest children take some time after lunch to rejuvenate during a much-needed rest. The children end the day with play, popsicles, and more fun in the sun before being picked up.

Fun Fridays
Each Friday morning, the children are treated to a special presentation by the program staff. The presentation may be a puppet show, a song, a skit, a fun story, or anything else that is imagined by our amazing program staff!

At 2:30pm every Friday afternoon, families and caregivers are invited to join us for a Program Share. The children in each group are invited to share something about the fun they’ve experienced throughout the week. The children may share a song, a skit, or even just have some fun crafts on display for their families to see.

Laurel Love – NEW for 2024!
This year, the children and instructors are giving back to our New Paltz community. From coloring pictures for our friends at Woodland Pond, to helping clean up the Rail Trail, to baking bread for our New Paltz First Responders – the instructors and children are inspired to come up with fun projects and simple ideas to share love with our amazing friends and neighbors.

Summer National Days
The children and staff are invited to join us for some more fun in the sun each week as we celebrate Summer National Days. The instructors are invited to create games, activities, and crafts inspired by fun themes on these special days.
